Online Project Management Systems
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008I’m looking for a basic online project management system for my company. My requirements are:
- Self-hosted (not a very trusting person!!)
- Intuitive and simple to use
- Basic project management features (blog, forum, calender, document management, directory and the possibility to create some standard HTML pages.)
- Supported by more than one company
- Customisation of features
The solutions that I’ve found to date fall into two main categories:
- Hosted (the majority)
- Self-hosted
Many of the hosted solutions are Web 2.0 start ups. Within these two categories are solutions ranging from simple task managers to quasi ERP systems. I have bookmarked 30+ solutions to date and I’m now filtering through and testing those that claim to meet the above requirements.
