Eating & Drinking
Useful Web Sites
A very good web site listing bars and restaurants in Paris. It is a popular site and the user reviews are numerous and up-to-date. The French version is more detailled than the English version.

A quick point on drinking in Paris.
Drinking in bars is more expensive in Paris than in England.
Pints are rarely ordered in French bars, instead beer is consumed in half glasses. Wine in “pichers” is usually a good buy.
Soft drinks cover the standard stuff plus variations of water with a flavoured syrop. E.g. Perrier and mint.
In a brasserie it is cheaper to drink at the bar than to sit down and drink.
Don’t hesitate to order a glass of Champagne if you’re in the mood. It is not only for special occasions in France and the waiter will have no problem with you ordering just a glass.
